Ashley Too is an interactive robotic doll modelled off the American pop singer Ashley O. She is featured in the episode Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too. She is voiced by Miley Cyrus, who also portrayed Ashley Ortiz.

History[]

The doll was manufactured at the behest of Ashley O's manager and aunt Catherine Ortiz, to sell as merchandise to her niece's young teenage fans. It is revealed later in the episode the majority of the dolls were recalled due to alleged problems with the batteries.

However, one Ashley Too doll, owned by sisters Rachel and Jack Goggins, learns of her real self's coma, and that Catherine has been extracting music from Ashley O's dreams for a new album, coupling scans with the voice recordings made for the Ashley Too dolls. Overwhelmed with all this information, Ashley Too malfunctions, so the two girls hook her up to their father's computer and unknowingly remove a "limiter," which had been acting as a firewall to heavily restrict the doll's cognitive abilities. Without the limiter, a now sentient Ashley Too, who has a full digital copy of Ashley O's mind, warns the girls of Catherine's intentions, and proves pivotal in rescuing the real Ashley O and exposing Catherine's evil intentions.

Ashley Too later appears with an emo tattoo on her torso at an underground club watching Ashley O and Jack playing rock music.

Features[]

  • Limited Full Consciousness Replication: The dolls use Cookie technology to fully replicate the consciousness of Ashley O, as doing so was the cheapest option. However, they are also equipped with incredibly restrictive limiter software. This restricts the consciousness to only 4% of its total capacity, enabling the dolls to only have basic learning AI functions.
  • Voice Activation: The doll can be activated and deactivated by saying the sentences "Ashley, Wake Up" and "Ashley, Go to Sleep". However, the phrases have no effect when the limiter is deleted.
