Bo is a character appearing in Mazey Day. She is portrayed by Zazie Beetz.

History[]

Bo was working as a paparazza, staking out a motel in the hopes of photographing Justin Camley and his secret male lover. She'd gotten a tip from JP, who had bene the source of a lot of tips for her. Just as she was about to give up, Justin and his lover exited their room. Bo took several pictures of them and as she was uploading them to her computer, Justin came to her window and offered her $500 for the pictures. She ignored him and left.

Bo took the pictures to Nick, who ran a tabloid, who offered her $250 each for the pictures. She was able to get him up to $300 per photo by telling him that Justin himself had offered $500. Bo celebrated the big payday by buying herself a new iPod Shuffle. However, she soon learned that Justin Camley had died by suicide as a result of being outed.

Despite Hector's assurance that it wasn't Bo's fault, Bo struggled when she and several other paparazzi tried to get pictures of Sydney Alberti as she exited her limo. Instead of taking pictures, Bo stood back and watched Sydney.

After that, Bo decided to get out of the game and took a job at a coffee shop. She struggled to make ends meet and ended up behind on her rent. Hector came to see her at work and told her that Nick was offering $30,000 for the first picture of Mazey Day, an actor who had disappeared after walking off a set abruptly. There was an extra $10,000 if she looked like a junkie in the pictures. Hector had no leads and hoped Bo's source could help, but Bo said she'd deleted his number from her phone.

Bo went home, where she called JP and asked if he knew anything. He was surprised to hear from her, but said he only knew what everyone else knew, but agreed to let her know if he heard anything else. Bo went online and pored over old magazines looking for anyone who might know where Mazey was. She got a break when she found an interview in which Mazey claimed to order hand-cut noodles from Master Tai's at least once a week.

Bo went to Master Tai's, where Ji-Hoon confirmed that was true and said that she'd just seen Mazey at a producer's mansion. Bo staked out the house and followed an SUV as it left the property, as she believed Mazey was in it. She followed the SUV until it stopped at Emerald Pines Diner, where the driver got out, got something from the trunk, then walked over and slashed all of Bo's tires before leaving.

Unable to go anywhere else, Bo entered the diner, where she asked the server, Terry, if he knew anyone with a tow truck. Terry only knew one person, who would be drunk all day, so she asked about a motel. Terry said the only thing like that nearby was Cedarwood Retreat, but that was a rehab for rich people and he'd heard that someone mysterious rented it out for the entire weekend and sent all the staff home. That piqued Bo's interest and she asked who it was, but Terry didn't know.

Bo went back out to her car, where she found Cedarwood on a map and then called Hector. Hector came on his motorcycle and picked her up and they went to Cedarwood. They were trying to figure out how to get in when Duke and Whitty arrived, having used a tracker on Hector's bike to find them. Together, they found a place where the fence had a gap in the bottom and dug underneath it to give Duke enough space to slide under.

From there, they found the building and watched as Dr. Babich and his driver left. Then they approached the building and took pictures from inside. When Bo saw in the pictures that Mazey had a chain around her neck, she broke into the building to rescue her. Inside the room, Hector also took pictures of a goat that was in there. Over Mazey's objections that they needed to leave, Bo broke the chains while the other three took pictures of Mazey and the room. Then they watched as the full moon appeared and Mazey turned into a wolf. While Bo and Hector fled, Duke and Whitty stayed to take more pictures.

As they approached the fence, Bo and Hector heard Whitty screaming and then saw Duke coming out. They got under the fence, but Duke got stuck. Instead of helping Duke, Hector took his camera, saying his pictures were worth $1 million each. Hector and Bo then got on Hector's motorcycle and left. They got into an accident when another car approached, so they took off on foot while Mazey attacked the car driver.

Hector and Bo ended up back at Emerald Pines Diner, where they tried to get Clay Ritman to call for backup. Instead, he tried to handcuff Bo, but was stopped then they heard screaming from the kitchen, then Mazey appeared. She mauled Hector and then Clay when Clay shot at her. With Mazey subdued, Bo checked on Hector, who handed her his camera and died. Bo then heard Mazey, back in human form, ask her to kill her. Instead, Bo handed Clay's gun to Mazey and then held up Hector's camera to take pictures of Mazey as she shot herself in the head.
