The Boomer is a mapping device used by the military. It appears in Men Against Fire.
History[]
The Boomer is a device used to map and analyse previously un-mapped buildings and structures. It is fired from a grenade launcher and latches onto buildings, sending a quick sonic pulse that generates a 3D map of the structure.
Features[]
- 3D Mapping:
After it has attached itself to a building, the device releases a quick sonic pulse. Like an advanced form of echolocation, this instantly generates a detailed 3D map of the structure, which is transmitted to MASS implants for viewing by soldiers.
